Website Counter
Want to keep track of your website visitors? All you have to do is insert a Counter on your Avon website and you will be up and running in minutes.
Most Counter Hosts let you choose between a visible or invisible web site counter. Both allow you to view your website report in real-time updates. There are many Counter websites out there. Just Google website counter and hundreds pop up.

The first thing you will need to do in order to get your free Counter is to sign up with a Website Counter host.
Here is a great place to check out. They offer free accounts as well as paid ones, depending on your individual needs.
With statcounter.com you can log in and see a graph of new visitors, returning visitors, etc. You can also decide if you want a visible website counter - or go totally incognito and be invisible.

To get started you will need to sign up for a free account with statcounter.com
Fill in your information and Click REGISTER MY ACCOUNT
Fill in your user name and password and Click LOGIN
Choose your time zone and then Click PROCEED AND ADD A PROJECT.
Select STANDARD STATCOUNTER PROJECT and then Click NEXT
Fill in your PROJECT SETTINGS. After filling in your information Click NEXT.

Click CONFIGURE AND INSTALL CODE.
You now need to choose the type of counter you would like. I have selected a VISIBLE COUNTER. If you would like an Invisible Counter on your website you should select INVISIBLE COUNTER.
*If you have selected the Invisible Counter you will not be able to see your counter
on your website. To check your website hits you must sign in to your statcounter.com account.
Click on the blue, yellow and red bar icon 
for your real-time stats and visitor reports.
This icon is located directly to the right of your Project Name.
After you have made your selection Click NEXT.
For VISIBLE COUNTERS -
For your VISIBLE COUNTER you will need to choose if your counter will show unique visits or pageloads, and you can also set the number at which the counter will start.
After filling in your information Click NEXT.
Would you like your visible counter to be a 'counter image' or 'text counter'? After making your selection Click NEXT.
Customize your graphic counter. After making your selections Click NEXT.
For VISIBLE and INVISIBLE COUNTERS select - NO, I WANT THE DEFAULT INSTALL GUIDE
You MUST choose this option -
* OPTIONAL - HTML Only Counter *
The text under * Optional - HTML Only Counter * plainly states that this option is for websites that do not accept JavaScript.
If you insert JavaScript into your Avon website editor your site will
FREEZE UP. You will then have to call and speak with the Avon IT department and have them fix it. Big pain in the patootie!
After making the proper selection - Click NEXT.
You now have your Counter code. Before you can install your code onto your Avon website you must make some adjustments inside the code.
To make the necessary code changes needed I recommend copying & pasting your Counter Code into Notepad or WordPad -- for editing purposes only.
Let's take a look at the Counter code in the photo link below. See the yellow highlighted text? That is what you must remove from your code.
This is what your Counter Code should look like.
For Installation and Configuration options click on the WRENCH 
icon. This icon is located directly to the right of your Project Name.
Inserting your Counter Code into your Avon website editor is very easy. Just follow these simple instructons.
Keep in mind that you can only insert codes into your WELCOME MESSAGE and your NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENT sections. Make sure this is where you are inserting the code.
1) Click website editor.
2) Click edit for the WELCOME MESSAGE or NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENT area.
3) After you have clicked EDIT - a window will pop out. Click EDIT CONTENTS.
4) Check the EDIT IN HTML. Insert the code after you have checked this button. Click SAVE.
5) You should then be able to see your counter when you click PREVIEW YOUR SITE.
6) You can then click SAVE & PUBLISH.
